Cleaning Guidelines.

This is a shared space with no cleaning staff, and while I will hire a professional to clean a few times a year, it is our responsibility to maintain a healthy level of cleanliness so that we can all enjoy the space.  

Rule of Thumb: Leave it Cleaner than you Found it.

Although I will make an effort to check on the building and its cleanliness, I will not be able to guarantee that I have done this before your event.  So, please keep the place clean for each other and come early to make sure it is up to your standards.

The Basics

  1. Clean your Surfaces (floors, tables, counters).

  2. Sanitize Door Handles.

  3. Clean the Toilet/Bathroom.

  4. Put dirty cleaning rags in dirty bin.

  5. Haul away your garbage and put garbage bins upside down where you found them.

  6. NOTIFY IF ANY SUPPLIES ARE LOW or for any reason.

More Detailed Cleaning Checklist:

Main Room

  • Put away all tables/chairs

  • Vacuum

  • Spot and blot any stains on the carpet

  • Wipe and sanitize door handles, switchplates and window sill

Break Room/ Hallway

  • Sweep or vacuum then mop floors

  • Clean off and then wipe down counters and sinks

  • Wipe trash can and take your trash generated by your event with you (I don’t have garbage service on site). Replace garbage bag and turn garbage can over.

  • Knock down any obvious cobwebs

Bathroom

  • Sweep or vacuum then mop floor with swiffer and rag

  • Wipe down sink

  • Quick scrub in toilet bowl 

  • Wipe down toilet seat and tank

  • Restock toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap if needed.
